Theodosie Mugwaneza is an Expert in Globalization and International Development, with a specific orientation and interest on Global health and education issues worldwide, especially in Low and Middle Incomes Countries.
Theodosie Mugwaneza is a founding member of the Rwanda Palliative Care and Hospice Organization (RPCHO) a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for and supporting people suffering from life-threatening illnesses. The organization promotes access to high-quality palliative care for all people living in Rwanda through home-based care. Mrs. Mugwaneza is also the former Executive Secretary of RPCHO.
In 2013, she worked as a program manager for Capacitar Rwanda. This local non-profit organization is using a popular education approach to give people affected by violence, trauma, and poverty the tools to heal themselves, their families, and their communities.
Mrs. Mugwaneza is a Yoga instructor and devotedly practices yoga daily. This way of living awakens a true sense of self, improves concentration, allows body stretching through exercises, and controls the mind and body.
Her goal is to use her experience in palliative care to foster the mental and physical rehabilitation of terminally ill patients and their caregivers, who, at times, are more impacted by the weight of the illness. The yoga practice facilitates this goal and allows the beneficiaries to find comfort by learning key elements of their pain management.
